Hobbit SBG - Mordor v High Elves

The Hobbit SBG Logo
Ho! Tom Bombadil, Tom Bombadillo! By water, wood and hill, by reed and willow, By fire, sun and moon, harken now and hear us! Come, Tom Bombadil, for our need is near us!”
Tom Bombadil, The Fellowship of the Ring, The Lord of the Rings

In preparation for the East Grinstead hosting of the 'BEST EVENT EVER' as part of the Great British Hobbit League tourney, Craig and Tom played a 500 point battle with armies they were considering taking to the tourney.

Craig fielded a High Elf army with mostly heroes adn Tom Bombadil, while Tom used a 500 point Mordor army with Troll Chieftain, warg riders, Shaman and lots of filthy orces!

Using Richards 4 x 4 Harad board they rolled for the scenario and had hold ground, with the centre building being the hill.

Hope you enjoy!

Final Thoughts:
This battle was a straight forward win for Mordor which saw a win for evil. I didn't record the battle score as I was watching several battles at once, but i know that both Craig and Tom had fun playing the battle and both learnt how effective, or not their army was.

On the other table there was a doubles match of 1000 point battle between Arnor & Durins Folk v Harad & Umbar, although, i couldn't keep a track of this battle as I had my own battle to play, below are the images from the battle I did take:

The game ended in a draw!

  2. Cheers Scott, I didn't play in either of these games so I just took a few photos.

The buildings are made by Rich, one of our new club members, so hopefully his terrain will help add even more variety to our boards!
