LOTR: Scenery - Helms Deep, The Hornburg

Club Scenery - Helms Deep the Hornburg
I thought that I would post some pictures of the clubs Helms Deep stunning model. We are planning to hold some huge battles with it and are trying to get the huge LotR  SBG/ WotR Rohan army as well as the immense Isengard Uruk Hai army.

This truly is an awesome piece of terrain and when linked to a battle board creates the perfect battle scenario to recreate Sarumans Isengard Uruk Hai army siege of Helms Deep, time and time again while the Rohan army try to defend it (with or without Galadhrim elves).  I have placed a few quick photos on the blog, but will post some new ones in the next few weeks when we play some Lotr and Wotr battles on it...

We are about to start playing LOTR SBG - both skirmish battles and walk through the books/films each Monday night and WotR on club nights and our array of battle boards, scenery, castles and even Helms Deep add to the realistic battle scenes.

We welcome anyone interested in playing Lotr SBG, WotR or any warhammer/40K battle - why not let us know so that we can arrange some starter battles, like the one above, or if you/your club want to challenge us. We have all the LOTR SBG figures and LOTR scenery from the Mines of Moria to the siege of Helms Deep ready and waiting.

Feel free to contact us to come along or arrange a game.

  1. That is an incredibly awesome board/terrain piece, I look forwards to seeing battle reports on it.

I also like the warriors of "Rohan" in the third shot :P

  2. Cheers Chris - these are old club photo's so hopefully I can get some new one photos with actual battles and plenty of Rohan troops (perhaps Gondor felt left out what with the elves joining in the film!)

  4. Thanks Scott, although it was purchased on ebay a few years ago so we can't take the credit for the build, but we can offer it to players to use for battles!

I am actually looking for a similar piece of terrain for a special project.
do you still remember who you got the terrain from? or if you are willing to sell it?
